For the second time in as many months, Harden will be largely cut off from the bus system for road works near Stephen Smith’s Garden Centre.
On December 13th, 14th and 15th there will be no 616 or 727 service between 9 am and 3 pm. There will just be a two hourly 729 service from Long Lane and Harden Road. You can find more details here Metro.
After the last closures the Parish Council submitted a detailed complaint about the loss of public transport links but our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. Of course we want the roads repaired but this time of year may not be the best time to choose.

Dear Sirs/others,
As for the road resurfacing work & the consequential omission of Harden from the bus routes,
what do those who rely on a reliable public transport system do? Miss work for those days?
No wonder the roads are clogged with cars.
With dismay,
Yours,
