Harry Barrett

Royal Garrison Artillery

Harry Barrett was born in 1887 and lived with his family at 12 Rycroft.

In the 1911 census, his occupation was given as bank cashier.

He joined the Royal Garrison Artillery at Catterick, in November 1915 ‘for the duration of he war’ and was demobilised in 1919.

He was sent to Le Havre in1916 and trained as a wireless operator.

He died in 1969 in the district of Claro, North Yorkshire.
