You’re warmly invited to join the new Harden Green Action Group!

We’re residents of Harden who want to work alongside our neighbours to do what we can to tackle the climate emergency and take positive action on environmental issues.

We’re kicking things off with a Litter Action day on Saturday 2 April. We have two sessions planned: one starting at 11am, meeting outside Harden Memorial Hall (what 3 words: ///gravy.call.firework); and one starting at 1pm, meeting on the Ryecroft Road entrance to Harden Moor (///slowly.humid.fool).

We’ll be providing gloves, litter pickers, bin bags and high-vis vests, and anyone is welcome to join us. We hope to see you there!

The first meeting of the group will take place the following Thursday, 7 April, 7-8pm at Harden Congregational Church. Everyone from across the village is invited to join us, and at the meeting we’ll start to put together a plan of action, looking first at what activities we want to do to observe Earth Day, which is on the 22 April. After that, it’s up to the group what we do next!

We’re really excited about setting this group going, getting to know our neighbours and working together to make a difference!
